US blues-rock guitarist, singer, one of the leading figures of modern blues. He was born in New Hartford, New York, and displayed an exceptional musical talent at an early age. He was given his first guitar at the age of 4, and at 12 he was already opening for B.B. King.

He has released 24 studio and live albums during his career to date, including “Blues Deluxe” (2003), “Sloe Gin” (2007), “Dust Bowl” (2011) and “Blues of Desperation” (2016), which received worldwide acclaim.

Bonamassa’s musical style combines traditional blues elements with rock, which he infuses with his own unique sound thanks to his virtuoso technique. He has often worked with other famous musicians, such as Beth Hart, with whom he has recorded three joint albums, while as a member of the Black Country Communion supergroup, he has played with Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham and Derek Sherinian.

Throughout his career he has received numerous awards and nominations: he has three Grammy nominations and won four Blues Music Awards.
