Ladies and Gentlemen!
We thought it was high time to welcome everyone with a brand new web site. Starting this year we have a much more informative and useful homepage where you can browse through our programmes and access our online ticket service.
This year we have some new highlights in store for our visitors, and not only regarding performers: the festival celebrating its 14th anniversary this year is to move to a new open-air venue due to reconstruction work in the Archbishop’s Palace.
After the baroque, sacred atmosphere of Szentháromság Square, the new location is tied to the historic and ecclesiastical roots of Veszprém.
The former resting garden of archbishops, known today as História Garden, lies at the eastern foot of Castle Hill, on the banks of Séd stream. The park of picturesque beauty is bordered by the refurbished, redolent and former resting building to the north, by the horizontal contours of the castle to the west, and by the spectacle of the baroque buildings of the town centre and the historic Old Town to the south. We are in a garden, on the banks of a stream, in green space.
We are excited to see how our auditorium designed for an anticipated 2-3000 guests will be packed with visitors, and how the music of the long list of world-renowned stars will fill the air this year.
